  1. Rocky Bluff Trail in Crab Orchard
    1. 1.7 mile loop trail located that surrounds a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs welcome. (Photo Credits: Tori Bond)
  1. Shawnee National Forest in Alto Pass
    1. This trail leads to a point with an incredible view.

3. Giant City State Park: 4,000 acres

Hike, camp, rappell, and go horseback riding at Giant City. It houses an archery range, and enormous boulders that formed 12,000 years ago. The most famous trail, Trillium Trail, named for the massive amount of White Trilliums around the trail. You’ll also find rare flower breeds.
