Only about 2% of books started actually reach a reader.
Starting a book is hard and reaching the end is excruciatingly painful. Here’s a small example why.
Anyone following my public social media in the last month saw me break a $5,000 funding goal to reach a December publishing date— an arguable win. But I only shared on Snapchat that I reached out to more than 2,800 people asking for funding— most of which went ignored or unread because people are busy and times are tough.
I only needed 115 supporters, but that took reaching out to 24 times that many, since 2,685 people said “no” or didn’t respond quick enough. But the wins always make the losses worth it.
If you’re scared to fail, you won’t succeed in the best parts of life– building a strong body, marrying a significant other, or learning a new skill. For the next five months, I’ll be revising and adding to Twisted Tech.
I’ll be publishing my first book in December when you can order it on Amazon.
